Our expertise in offshore projects comprises a strong and creative engineering department as well as environmental-scientific know-how. The ecological aspect plays an essential role in the offshore sector. In 2001, our company received the approval for the erection of the first offshore wind farm „Borkum West“ (now „alpha ventus“). This was the first wind farm worldwide that was erected outside the 12-mile-zone in a water depth of 30 meters.

Offshore wind farm"MEG Offshore I"
This wind farm is located within the priority area for wind energy outside marine protection areas. The approval for construction and operation was given on 31st August 2009 by BSH.
Offshore wind farm "Côte d'Albâtre"
The planned location is approx. 6 km north of the French coast near Dieppe in the British Channel. It was the only one accepted from ten project proposals in the first French offshore-wind energy tender.
Offshore wind farm "Borkum-West"
The rights for this approved project were transferred to the foundation ”Offshore-Stiftung”, which was initiated by the BMU, in September 2005.
