„We look back on 13 years of experience and success.“ |
N.prior energy GmbH has its origins in PROKON Nord Energiesysteme GmbH founded in 1997, initially focusing on onshore wind energy. Due to increasing competition and decreasing suitable areas, the company has expanded their know-how gained in the onshore sector to the offshore wind energy sector. Erecting the first German offshore wind farm „Borkum West“ (now „alpha ventus“), N.prior energy managed the first wind farm worldwide that was approved outside the 12-mile-zone in a water depth of 30 meters. The company is thus one of the internationally most experienced offshore projectors with a large technology lead over other experts. At present, three offshore wind farms are in the implementation phase. Furthermore, the company develops new procedures for the energy efficient production of bioethanol and sets standards for the concept and construction of biomass power stations. Five power stations have been erected so far, having been operating successfully and reliably since then. Operational management has been conducted both by us and by third parties.
The pioneer of wind energy has become a successful project company:
1997 - Dipl.-Ing. Ingo de Buhr founds the company with the name „PROKON Nord Projektierungs- und Betriebsführungsgesellschaft für regenerative Energiesysteme GmbH“.
1998 - Commissioning of the first onshore wind farm with 12 wind energy converters. A total of 96 converters were installed onshore until 2008.
2001 - Approval of the first German offshore wind farm outside the 12-mile-zone.
2003 - Commissioning of the first biomass combined heat and power station. Another four biomass CHP stations were constructed until 2010; the most recent has just been completed in Oostrozebeke, Belgium.
2004 - Erection of the first Multibrid M5000 prototype in Bremerhaven.
2006 - Acquisition of the former company site of Hydro-Aluminium in Stade, subsequent reconstruction to an industrial location with rotor blade production and iron casting i.a. for offshore wind energy converters and bioethanol production ensuring independent and environmental-friendly energy supply by a refuse derived fuel plant, according to our own proven design.
2007 - Following the sale of a 51 percent share in Multibrid GmbH, a manufacturer of wind energy converters, cooperation agreement with the French state-owned company group AREVA in the offshore sector.
2008 - Commissioning of the first refuse derived fuel plant. Another plant in Stade is under construction.
2009 - Erection of the first six M5000 offshore wind energy converters in the North Sea by the company Multibrid as part of the project „alpha ventus“.
2010 - Since October, the company has been operating under the new, future-oriented name N.prior energy GmbH.
